Claudia Hopkins is a wife and mother of one son. She lives and weaves in her home in Glendale  Rhode Island.

Claudia began weaving many years ago when she took a basket-weaving class at a local library.  It was the love of basketry after weaving her very first basket! Claudia excelled at the art and , when the teacher decided to not teach any more, Claudia took over teaching the classes. Since then her craft has grown from a hobby to a business and passion for Claudia.

Each of the baskets shown on this web site is handwoven by Claudia. She dyes most of her own materials, and follows patterns from authors from all over the United States.

Claudia participates in Arts & Craft shows in Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. Her favorite venue is Scituate Art Festival which is held every year during Columbus Day weekend.

Claudia's baskets are also sold at the Hand Crafters Barn in North Conway, NH.

Claudia is a member of the Northeast Basketmakers Guild and  the North Carolina Basketmakers Association.
